Land on any water surface with a RADAR altimeter to guide you...
Take Off and Landing Instrument
The TOAL helps solve the challenge from every pilot landing on water…
We are pleased to preview an upcoming product, designed by Comp Air and engineered by Radiant Technology, at SUN ‘n FUN 2022. The new TOAL Advisory, “Take Off And Landing” is designed for seaplanes. Two versions are planned, an experimental and an STC’d version.
This instrument combines a 3 1/8″ display gauge, along with a high precision Vertical Reference Unit, which is based on advanced MEMS technology and an effective downward pointing radar module.
Combined, the pilot is presented with continuous pitch feedback, vital for establishing correct float orientation relative to the water’s surface. The pilot also receives continuous radar altitude in increments of 1 foot, from 50 feet above the surface down to touchdown. An aural annunciator completes the package.
