Altimeter + Kollsman + Density Altitude + VSI + OAT + G-Meter
RADIANT's Digital Altimeter (RDAL) is built for pilots who want altitude to remain the primary visual focus. Its main dial presents altitude in a clear, conventional round-instrument style, using a short 10,000-foot hand and a long 1,000-foot hand, while the instrument’s right-side data stack adds digital altitude, Kollsman setting, outside air temperature, vertical speed, and density altitude in a compact, easy-to-scan layout. When enabled, the new G-meter also becomes part of the dial rotation.
Rather than acting like a simple one-function altimeter, RDAL provides the builder with a more capable altitude instrument while retaining the familiarity of a dedicated altitude presentation. It is especially attractive when altitude warrants the greatest visual emphasis, but supporting flight data still needs to be readily available in the same instrument.
The updated platform allows practical configuration from the front panel. RDAL supports inHg or hPa Kollsman units, °F or °C temperature display, temperature calibration, and G-meter enable/disable in setup. Kollsman is adjusted directly from the front controls, with a standard-pressure reset available from the panel.
An external temperature probe is included, and RDAL is available in both 2-1/4 inch and 3-1/8 inch versions for flexible installation.

To Our Customers
Radiant Instruments is a small aviation company that develops innovative avionics for experimental aircraft, carbon monoxide detectors for the cockpit, and portable aviation instruments (non-TSO/non-PMA). Products are engineered and designed by our founder, with final assembly, calibration, and quality control at our facility in Wichita, Kansas.
The instruments from Radiant Technology are not designed to be used in applications where their failure would endanger safe flight or human life in any way. They are intended solely for use in VFR conditions. They are not certified to meet any Technical Standard Order, and are not produced under a Parts Manufacturing Authority (TSO / PMA). As a result, they are suitable only for use in experimental and ultralight aircraft, and in Light Sport Aircraft, if meeting the requirements of the respective manufacturer.
