INTRODUCTORY PRICE THROUGH AUGUST 2026:  $69.95

SafeAlt puts the information that matters most in flight where it belongs: front and center.

The 2026 SafeAlt update is not a cosmetic refresh. The instrument has been rebuilt around a clearer, more useful altitude presentation.

The Portable SafeAlt brings everything about altitude into one clear instrument. It gives a useful picture of where you are, whether you are climbing or descending, how quickly altitude is changing, what the temperature is, and what that temperature means for aircraft performance.

The new 2026 display gives the altimeter a larger visual presence, adds a dedicated analog VSI alongside the digital vertical-speed readout, and keeps altitude, temperature, density altitude, Kollsman setting, and battery voltage visible together.

Density altitude has also been improved. SafeAlt now uses the pressure sensor’s own factory-calibrated temperature measurement, and the temperature driving the calculation is displayed directly on screen.

A new Altitude Adjust setting allows SafeAlt to be fine-tuned against a trusted reference. The correction is stored in memory and also feeds the density-altitude calculation.

Other 2026 improvements include:

  • Larger analog altimeter presentation
  • Analog and digital VSI
  • Dedicated temperature display
  • Improved density-altitude calculation
  • Stored altitude adjustment
  • Temperature trim
  • Battery-voltage display
  • Automatic low-battery dimming
  • Full U.S. and Rest-of-World units
  • Faster, smoother altitude and VSI response
  • Simplified controls, with the previous altitude alarm and buzzer removed

The result is a more focused instrument: easier to read, easier to understand, and much more useful in the cockpit.

Add the optional Panel Mount Holster to fit SafeAlt into a standard 3⅛-inch instrument cutout or mount it to a flat surface.

To Our Customers

Radiant Instruments is a small aviation company that develops innovative avionics for experimental aircraft, carbon monoxide detectors for the cockpit, and portable aviation instruments (non-TSO/non-PMA). Products are engineered and designed by our founder, with final assembly, calibration, and quality control at our facility in Wichita, Kansas.

The instruments from Radiant Technology are not designed to be used in applications where their failure would endanger safe flight or human life in any way. They are intended solely for use in VFR conditions. They are not certified to meet any Technical Standard Order, and are not produced under a Parts Manufacturing Authority (TSO / PMA). As a result, they are suitable only for use in experimental and ultralight aircraft, and in Light Sport Aircraft, if meeting the requirements of the respective manufacturer.

Radiantly brilliant- truly affordable, made with pilots specifically in mind, and solving a problem that isn’t optional, but can easily cost 10x+ to mitigate. Thank you for everything you’ve done to make safer flying more accessible and affordable.
