Meet the new SafeTurn Turn Coordinator: Smoother, Sharper, Smarter

SafeTurn is a self-contained, battery-powered electronic turn coordinator that gives pilots a smooth, daylight-readable turn-rate cue and slip/skid ball in any cockpit. It’s not GPS-synthesized.

SafeTurn uses a true solid-state gyro, tuned for aircraft dynamics, with on-demand dimming for night ops. The latest production run adds smoother motion, clearer graphics, a more informative battery indicator, and a variable gyro filter so pilots can choose a snappier or a more damped feel.

What’s new in the updated version

  • Smoother motion model for ball and aircraft cue

  • Improved graphic appearance and legibility

  • State-of-charge/battery indicator re-tuned for steadier reporting

  • New: user-selectable gyro filter (response shaping)

  • Faster boot to stable display; better warm-up behavior

  • Code and reliability improvements across the board

  • Manual dimming for night ops

To Our Customers

We are in the business of offering innovative aircraft instruments for experimental aircraft flying, and backup / CO instruments for general aviation (non-TSO/non-PMA). The instruments from Radiant Technology are not designed to be used in applications where their failure would endanger safe flight or human life in any way. They are intended solely for use in VFR conditions. They are not certified to meet any Technical Standard Order, and are not produced under a Parts Manufacturing Authority (TSO / PMA). As a result, they are suitable only for use in experimental and ultralight aircraft, and in Light Sport Aircraft, if meeting the requirements of the respective manufacturer.

Support

If you need support for your Radiant instrument purchase, please contact us by email at support@radiantinstruments.com. Because of our small staff, we do not have a direct phone number.  We do our best to respond to emails as soon as possible. If you do not hear from us within 48 hours, please try again. Shipping Information

Since we offer innovative aircraft instruments, we often introduce new products for sale that are in the final engineering phase. Sometimes an engineering problem emerges in the final phase that delays our production runs. This means that if you are ordering a new product, we could be several weeks out from shipping. We try to keep our product pages up to date with shipping information.

As of 2025, there are only two of us working Radiant instruments. We manufacture products in batches, and cycles take about a month. It is always best to order now and get on the list. We do charge your card at the time your order is placed.

We are ship by USPS Ground Advantage. We do not ship internationally, but our distributor, Aircraft Spruce does. Please order at https://www.aircraftspruce.com/. Search "RADIANT" and most of our products should pop up.
