A portable Mini Glass directional instrument that's not just another gyro.
It is a new way to present directional information.
An optional external magnetometer version is also available for customers seeking enhanced heading performance during extended operation.
SafeGyro (patent pending) is a new Mini Glass inertial directional instrument for experimental and light aircraft, designed to give the pilot an immediate, intuitive sense of heading, turn behavior, and directional trend in a format that is fast to read, easy to use, and visually distinct from legacy portable gyro products.
At the center of SafeGyro is a clean directional display with large heading digits, heading bug, compass tape, turn coordination, slip/skid indication, and Radiant’s distinctive motion-history map. The result is a product that does more than report numbers — it helps the pilot understand what the aircraft is doing.
SafeGyro is battery-operated, USB-rechargeable, and designed for use as a portable or panel-mounted instrument.
SafeGyro continues Radiant’s new Mini Glass line of instruments, designed as a compact, modern backup that feels like a bigger glass that doesn’t fight your panel space or your budget.
Why SafeGyro is different
Most directional products imitate the past. SafeGyro is designed to feel like the future. It does not simply show heading, it shows heading behavior. Large digits, a clear tape, intuitive motion cues, and a unique on-screen history map work together to create a directional presentation that is both useful and immediately memorable.

To Our Customers
Radiant Instruments is a small aviation company that develops innovative avionics for experimental aircraft, carbon monoxide detectors for the cockpit, and portable aviation instruments (non-TSO/non-PMA). Products are engineered and designed by our founder, with final assembly, calibration, and quality control at our facility in Wichita, Kansas.
The instruments from Radiant Technology are not designed to be used in applications where their failure would endanger safe flight or human life in any way. They are intended solely for use in VFR conditions. They are not certified to meet any Technical Standard Order, and are not produced under a Parts Manufacturing Authority (TSO / PMA). As a result, they are suitable only for use in experimental and ultralight aircraft, and in Light Sport Aircraft, if meeting the requirements of the respective manufacturer.
